Some simple rules and guidelines to keep our guests, visitors, and staff safe.

Policies

A 30% deposit is payable within seven (7) days of confirmation to secure the bookingThe balance is due 14 days prior to arrival.  If the booking is made within 14 days prior to arrival, please pay in full at the time of booking. 

Christmas and Easter holidays, long weekends (Victoria), Melbourne Cup, and all Victorian School Holidays:

  • 30 days’ notice is required to cancel bookings for these times. Requests for refund must be made in writing and emailed to our office (cowes@holidaylifestyle.com.au), and will incur a $20.00 administration fee.
  • Cancellations of less than 30 days will require full payment made with no refund available.

All other times:

  • Refunds available up to 7 days prior to booking providing the request for refund is in writing and will incur a $20.00 administration fee.
  • Cancellations of less than 7 days will require full payment made with no refund available.
  • Deposits can be transferred as credit to be used for a future bookings within a two year period.

This policy has been designed to ensure a pleasurable and safe stay for all guests, with and without pets.

Guests who wish for their pets to join them at Holiday Lifestyle agree to, and comply with the following conditions and requirements:

  1. Guests must not have a pet in the Park without the written permission from the park management. Upon arrival, it is the Park Managers’ discretion as to accept the pet in the park.
  2. Guests must not attempt to bring a pet into the park that has been declared a dangerous or nuisance dog by any council or a pet that is declared a dangerous or restricted breed.
  3. If required, the guest will provide Park Management with a written guarantee that their pet does not represent a danger to the health and safety of other park users, particularly young children who may wander into the animal’s territory.
  4. The pet must always be kept on a leash and under control. Larger and stronger breeds of dogs are to be walked by a responsible adult only. A leash must be no more than two (2) meters in length.
  5. The dog must always be supervised and never left unattended, including inside a tent or van or other accommodations.
  6. Guests must dispose of all pet waste promptly and appropriately, by picking up, wrapping up, and sealing the pet’s waste in an appropriate plastic bag, and disposing of in the bins provided around the park. Pet waste is not to be disposed of in bins within accommodation buildings.
  7. For health and safety, pets are not allowed in or near the park communal facilities, ie camp kitchens, amenities, playgrounds, recreation rooms.
  8. Guest will not allow a pet to be a nuisance or cause distress to other park users. Pet owners are personally responsible, and will be held to be so, for any and all personal injuries and/or property damage or loss in relation to any actions by their pet.
  9. Park Management reserves the right to request a pet bond at their discretion.

Park Rules

The person whose name appears on the booking and registration form assumes responsibility for the patrons for which the booking covers, and their visitors. The owners and management reserve the right to withdraw, cancel, and decline to accept or retain a book for any person or party if a patron’s conduct is incompatible with the interests, harmony, comfort, or welfare of other persons.

All persons enter the park at their own risk and are responsible for their own possessions and vehicles

It is recommended that rollout awnings are not left in the open/rolled out position when you leave the park due to somethings unpredictable strong winds.

Torches are always recommended to be carried during dark hours to assist in preventing personal injury

Vacate the park by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed by park management

Pay all fees in advance. If extending your stay, office staff must be notified before the checkout time.

Always keep noise to a minimum, ensuring that there is no unnecessary noise between the hours of 10pm and 8am

  • Observe the park speed limit of 5km per hour 
  • Not carry out repairs to motor vehicles within the park 
  • Not bring unregistered or un-roadworthy vehicles into the park 
  • Must drive or ride vehicles on designated roads only 
  • Not ride bicycles in the park outside of daylight hours – Victorian law requires that helmets are always worn  
  • Park only in designated areas 
  • Wrapping garbage before placing it in bins 
  • Not to use park disposal facilities for anything other than normal household refuse 
  • Do not leave cigarette buts on the ground 
  • Separate recyclables from normal refuse and placing in their appropriate crates/bins 
  • Not to play ball games in the playground, or in/around amenities blocks or near dwellings 
  • Use playground equipment in the proper manner and in accordance with any specific rules 
  • Not smoke in any amenities block, or undercover communal area 
  • Not wash dishes in troughs, baths, or hand basins (camp kitchens have these facilities) 
  • Remove laundry promptly from machines upon completion of washing or drying 
  • Not erect a private clothes’ line other than a small temporary line which is not in obvious view of other guests and visitors 
  • Always maintain adequate constant supervision of children  
  • Ensure that preschool children are supervised by an adult when using communal facilities 
  • Support any reasonable sanctions imposed by park management resulting from improper conduct or use of the park facilities by children 

Use a private, conciliatory approach to settling disputes with other occupants, park management, or employees 

Ensure visitors register their presence at the park office 

  • Fires will only be permitted at the park managements discretion 
  • Fires are not be permitted during total fire bans, or when a fire danger rating of high or above is notified 

Ensure that you, and your visitors, do not behave in a manner that could be offensive, poor example to children in the park, or injurious to the reputation of the park
